Why I’m Thankful This Thanksgiving

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Seton Hall chapter.

Thanksgiving is coming up and I don’t know about you, but I’m excited. My two favorite things about thanksgiving are the friends and family fellowship, as well as the food. Those of us who live far from home can finally see our high school friends and see family members we haven’t seen in a long time. It’s a great time of fellowship and catching up.

The second part is the food. Thanksgiving food is so good. From macaroni to ham (we have ham and turkey because my brother, younger cousins, and I don’t eat turkey) the food is great. You know who the best cooks are and that they will bring their A game. What has really hyped me up for this Thanksgiving is that infamous #unameit video. The internet does a great job of getting you excited for events. And I am very excited for thanksgiving.

But don’t forget it is a day to give thanks for the things we are blessed with. So enjoy your family and friends and that wonderful food, but don’t forget to take a moment and be thankful.
