Finals 101: Look Great, Feel Great

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Seton Hall chapter.

One week, not to mention the biggest week of the semester, is all that separates you from summer. Usually this is the time that students start to rethink their studying habits, and by that I mean to forbid themselves from indulging in their favorite Netflix series.

Open your books and put your nose in them, but let those closet doors swing open too, and put your most fashionable foot forward.

A key to acing finals is having good vibes. Feeling cool, confident and collected. Although knowing the material and what class your final is actually for is step one, step two begins the morning of…which is also when the studying should not.

Embrace the mantra “look good, feel good” and you’re more likely to perform just as fabulously.

Put those sweatpants down and save those pajama pants for bedtime. Get dressed up. Dress how you feel most comfortable. Choose the look that makes you feel most confident in yourself.

Once you roll up to the scene with your “I’ve been studying” lean, your mind will no longer wander to the deep dark places of “I look awful,” or “these jeans totally make me look fat.”

Free of distraction, you can brilliantly endeavor down the rows of your Scantron finishing off the course with an A!
