This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Seton Hall chapter.

Robert Podhurst, a former international basketball player, a business man, and a sociology expert. Having spent most of his life playing basektball he was able to journey throughout life with great determination. When starting his college career, he played at a Division III level and studied sociology. Despite being at the Division III level, he still played games against significant Division I schools. Along with this, Robert spent his summers playing with former NBA players. All the years of hard work and determination lead jim to playing for a total of 8 years in Northern Israel, where him and his team worked their way up to the highest level of competition. While staying in Israel, he bought a property that he could call his own. This continued, and now he owns several different properties overseas, and goes back to visit a couple times each year. After his years playing overseas, Robert returned to the states and lived in the South West as a business man and traveled around the country. However, this did not last forever, and after business he started teaching Spots Sociology at Montclair State University. Shortly after this he relocated once again to Seton Hall University, where he now teaches Sociology. Truly a man with an exciting and full life story.
