5 Easy Ways to Be ‘Green” in College

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Seton Hall chapter.

1.      Invest in a reusable water bottle.

They’re usually super cheap and they’re EVERYWHERE!

2.      If you dining hall has paper and regular plates, opt for the regular.

This will cut down greatly on the amount of waste you contribute.

3.      Use real silver wear and plastic wear in your dorm.

This goes for off-campus housing too. Yeah, cleaning sucks, but trust me, Earth is worth it!

4.      Unplug!

If you aren’t using a lamp, charger, or curling iron, just unplug it! Even when they aren’t on, they still use up energy!

5.      Lights off!

This one is super simple: just turn out the lights when you leave a room to save even more energy! (You can even save on your bills too!)
