Who to Catch Performing at Cal Coast Credit Union at SDSU This Year

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at SDSU chapter.

As we all know, one of the benefits of attending SDSU is having not one, but two concert venues on campus. Other than Viejas Arena, there is the Cal Coast Credit Union Open Air Theatre at SDSU, which is an outdoor theatre sitting next to the library. Here’s a list of artists that will be at Cal Coast this year.

Pentatonix (PTX): Catch this Grammy-winning, five member a cappella group from Texas at Cal Coast on May 3. Pentatonix found fame after winning NBC’s “The Sing-Off” in 2011, and they will be touring for their self-titled album which was released last year. Tic kets go on pre-sale this Thursday February 11 and on sale to the general public Friday February 12 at 10am.

Walk The Moon: We all fell in love with Walk The Moon once they released their first single “Anna Sun” in 2012 and again when the all too catchy “Shut Up and Dance” dropped in 2014. The band will be at Cal Coast on May 26 for their “Talking is Hard Tour”. Tickets have already gone on sale, but there are still some available on Ticketmaster.

The Lumineers: This folk rock band will be at Cal Caost on May 27 touring for their second LP “Cleopatra” which will be released April 8. The band recently released their new single “Ophelia” to give fans a taste of what their new album will sound like. Tickets go on pre-sale this Thursday February 11 and on sale to the general public Friday February 12 at 10am.

Halsey: This 21-year-old American singer and songwriter will be at Cal Coast July 16 for her Badlands Tour in support of her first LP “BADLANDS” which was released last year. Tickets have already gone on sale, but there still some available on Ticketmaster. Grab some before they’re gone!

Barenaked Ladies: Barenaked Ladies released their 11th studio album “Silverball” last year and you can catch this Canadian alternative rock band at Cal Coast on July 20 for their “Last Summer on Earth 2016” tour. Tickets are available on Ticketmaster

Shawn Mendes: This 17-year-old Canadian gained popularity after posting song covers on Vine. His single “Stitches” caught public attention, and he will be performing at Cal Coast on July 23 touring for his album “Handwritten” which was released last year. Tickets are available on Ticketmaster
