Girl Scout Cookie Finder App: An App You Might Drool On

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at SCU chapter.

We’ve all heard the tagline; “There’s an app for that.”  Well, now that there’s a Girl Scout Cookie Finder app, we know that Apple was not messing around when that tagline was created.

Did you just read this and squirm a little bit in your seat?  Are you re-reading what I just said to make sure it wasn’t an optical illusion?  Yes, I did just say there is an app that tells users exactly where the nearest 8-year-old girl with pigtails is located.  Okay, so that sounded a little bit odd, but those girls have the goods: GIRL SCOUT COOKIES!

Despite the fact that many people are unsure if this app is a blessing to the taste buds or a curse to the thighs, it makes it easy for cookie lovers to access those Samoas® and Thin Mints® they have been craving.  Users are now off the hook from creepily asking children on the street if they know somebody in the Girl Scout Cookie industry, or, as I like to call it “the underground cookie market”.

As I downloaded the app, I said to myself, “I don’t need the cookies.  I don’t need the cookies.  I don’t need the cookies.  Okay. I NEED THE COOKIES!”  Then I proceeded to change the settings to find cookies in a one-mile radius from me and was happy to see there were multiple locations at 0.0 miles away.

To all my fellow cookie monsters out there that can’t be stopped: I recommend that you download the Girl Scout Cookie Finder app before the season is over!   Nobody likes a missed opportunity, especially when cookies are the opportunity.
