To My Forever Friend As We Graduate

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Scranton chapter.

They say there’s a lot of fish in the sea in terms of friendship and relationships but there’s no fish that could ever compare to you.

There’s not even a solid place for me to start thanking you for being the incredible friend you have been for the past 15 years of my life. Whenever times were too tough to deal with individually you have been there to comfort and there’s not many people you can count on ALWAYS.

Thanks for running around SMA with me to pass out birthday cupcakes and picking me to come with you, thanks for cleaning the chalkboard erasers with me too. Throughout our friendship there’s never been a point I forgot about you despite the years we were apart.

10/10 moment was spotting you at my first college party and then sitting in public speaking with you. Thanks for letting me call you out during my speeches even though I know you’ll never forget that one.

There’s the term ‘you are my person’ and you surely are. Whenever I feel the happiest you’re there to celebrate or when I feel the saddest you’re there to comfort. In times of sulking on the freshmen forever 15 you’ll diet with me and then call it quits over reses and blue ribbon.

In just a few weeks we will watch each other graduate and I couldn’t think of a more exciting time. I’m so lucky I was able to attend elementary school and college with my best friend. Words cannot express just how proud I am of you for all your hard work, dedication, and shining personality. You are truly going to do amazing in all of life’s journeys and I’m so excited to support you along the way.

Thanks for being my person, my forever friend. I love you more than peanut butter & chocolate.
