7 Reasons to Fall in Love with October

1.) Sweater WeatherMoving past the bikini, tankini, and martini weather; fall weather is brisk and perfect for that comfy oversized sweater that’s been in the bottom of your closet. 2.) Pumpkin Flavored EverythingThere’s no better way to taste October other than indulging yourself with endless amounts of pumpkin spiced lattes, pumpkin pie and Ben & Jerry’s pumpkin flavored ice cream.3.) HalloweenNo better way to spend October other than watching the 13 nights of Halloween when “Halloweentown” or “Hocus Pocus” premiere on ABC Family.

4.) Mid-Semester PointFINALLY. Halfway through the first semester, what a great feeling. Try to stray away from the mid-semester slump.

5.) Fall BreakPerfect time to see your friends from home that you’ve been missing since summer and a great get-away from the stress of school (for a few days at least).

6.) Pumpkin and Apple PickingTake time away from your studies to relax and enjoy yourself at the pumpkin patch or the apple orchard.

7.) Leaves Are Changing ColorsOctober is also perfect for taking picturesque scenery and basking in huge leaf piles.

Samantha is an East Coast girl from Pennsylvania with a New York City attitude and a Florida mindset. Her shopping habits are contagious; she has inherited them from her mom (they say mother knows best, right?). Samantha is a University of Scranton senior majoring in Strategic Communication with a minor in Business.
