Which Music Festival Should You Go To?

Finding the perfect music festival is always a challenge!  There are so many options and sometimes travel becomes an issue to get the festival that you REALLY want to go to.  Below I have listed a variety of music festivals that are happening this summer.  Some of them do not have the lineups out, but there’s no denying that they are all great options.  There are a variety of different locations, making it impossible to not find one worth taking a road trip to!

Bonnaroo– Manchester- TN

June 8-11

Bonnaroo is primarily Alternative, but they also have Pop, Indie Rock, Hip Hop, and EDM music.  They have a wide variety and have many well known artists as well.  This year’s lineup is especially great since The Weeknd will be there!

Coachella– Indio, CA

April 21-23

Coachella is in the mountains of beautiful California!  From the incredible weather, to the Indie, Rock, Hip Hop, and EDM music blasting all three days, it is impossible to not have fun!  Coachella is for the hipster and boho crowd.  Be ready for exotic outfits and colors everywhere!

Lollapalooza– Chicago, IL

Aug. 3-6

Lollapalooza has a wide variety of music, making it perfect for a wide variety of people.  In the heart of Chicago there are many opportunites for fun.  Not only can you listen to all of the Alternative Rock, Hip Hop, Pop, Punk Rock, and EDM music, but you can also explore the Chicago city life.

Music Midtown– Atlanta- GA

Dates TBA

Music Midown was originally a jazz festival, but turned into an Alternative, Pop, and Hip Hop music festival this past year and it was a huge success!  With all of the college students nearby in Atlanta, the crowd of people was very energetic and everyone seemed to have a great time!

Vans Warped Tour– Locations all over the US

June 16-Aug 6

The Vans Warped tour is easily accessible to everyone in the US!  They go all across the country in the span of two months.  Their music is more intense than some of the other festivals.  It is for the Rock, Punk Rock, Metal, Alternative Rock, and Electronic music lovers.

Firefly– Dover, DE

June 15-18

Firefly always has an incredible lineup!  The festival is primarily Alternative Rock and Pop.  They have some of the biggest names in the industry and Delaware is super easy for many people to travel to since it is on the east coast.

Made in America– Philidelphia, PA

Sep. 3-4 LA 

Made in America’s 2017 lineup has some big names!  Rihanna and Coldplay are going to be there…must I say more?

WE Fest– Detroit Lakes, MN

Aug. 3-5

Unlike most of the festivals that happen over the summer, this one is a Country music festival!  All of the biggest names in the industry are there!  Get ready to wear your flannels and cowgirl boots if you are thinking about going to this one!

Electric Daisy Carnival– Las Vegas, NV

June 16-18

This EDM festival is filled with beyond eccentric people!  With it being in Las Vegas, there is all sorts of crazy going on!

Electric Forest– Rothbury, MI

June 22-25 and June 29- July 2

Electric Forest is of course in the middle of a forest!  Not only do you get to camp in a decked out forest, but you also get to experience amazing EDM artists for a weekend!  This year they have two dates, making it easier for people to plan it.
