As we slide into October, you can find week’s Campus Celebrity enjoying her favorite fall drink, a salted caramel latte. Jessica Sherman is a senior and first year Occupational Therapy student from East Dubuque, IL!
Succeeding one of her goals from freshman year, Jessica is the president and founder of Club Volleyball at SAU. When she is not dancing around in orange with the family relations committee for Dance Marathon, you can find her at Galvin Fine Arts Center as a house manager or getting her run on after participating in the 2014 Quad City Marathon Relay and the 2013 Quad City Half Marathon.
After graduation in May, this busy bee plans to finish graduate school in the OT Program, do some world traveling and hopefully land in Colorado! Through it all Jessica looks up to her mom for inspiration.
“She has always taught me the rights and wrongs of life and she inspires me through her volunteer work and always putting others before herself,” Jessica says. “She goes above and beyond as a nurse and I hope to be just as giving as she is when I become an Occupational Therapist.”
When she’s looking for some words of encouragement she turns to her favorite verse, Jeremiah 29:11.
“For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
This concert obsessed county music lover attends a concert at least once a month. She has seen Luke Bryan 8 times and has met him twice along with seeing Jason Aldean 10 times so far. If you’re looking for a concert buddy hit up Jessica because chances are, she is already going!
