Instagram-worthy Spots in the QC

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at SAU chapter.

1. ‘Love In Action’

We’ve all seen photos of the famous ‘Global Angel Wings Project Wall’ and the pink Paul Smith wall on Instagram. Los Angeles has the most aesthetic pleasing places to take your Instagram photos. This ‘Love In Action’ brings us a step closer. Two students from Central High School created this mural. This ‘Love In Action’ wall is located on the side of The Center at Brady and 14 Streets. It’s a mix of bright spring colors and includes set of wings for you to pose!

2. Milltown Coffee

The coffee shop is a great place to escape from campus. It’s quite the drive from SAU, across the bridge in Moline. The drive to Milltown is worth it. You can take cute coffee pictures yet enjoy a delicious cup of coffee, tea, or grab a quick bite. Your iced coffee is served in a glass mason jar. The mason jars and white latte cups are the perfect aesthetic. Milltown’s wooden walls and tables give it an urban-feel. It has an entire side of wide windows to look out towards the Mississippi River… this also calls for natural lighting to make your picture instagramable!

3. Figge Art Museum

\

The Figge Art Museum is the perfect modern setting for your photos. Many pictures are taken for seniors, weddings, prom and more. I’ll ket you in on my favorite spot to take cute OOTD’s… if you keep driving down on Main Street, you’ll see a U.S Bank on the right side. Next to the U.S Bank, you’ll see the Figge and a set of stairs leading to the front of the museum. There’s also a plain grey wall where you can take photos. Take a walk around the Figge and you’ll find tons of inspiration to capture.

4. Welcome to Downtown Davenport

You must make a stop by this mural, which is at the foot of the Government Bridge. It was created by artist Johnnie Cluney. Everyone agrees that this updated sign “Welcome to downtown Davenport, Iowa” looks pleasing to the eye. What better way to represent Davenport!

5. American Flag

This is painted on the side of a wooden building located in the shopping district, downtown Leclaire, Iowa. It’s such a vintage aesthetic. This is the perfect moment to post for the Fourth of July, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Presidents’ Day, Memorial Day, or simply for a “Party in the U.S.A.”
