5 Ways to Organize and Decorate for Fall

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at SAU chapter.

These are easy organizing tips and decorating tricks to spice up your room whether if you live on campus, a townhouse, or off-campus.

1. But first, coffee.

It’s most likely you have a Keurig in your room. How cute is this coffee bar? You can display coffee, tea, sugar, cups, and straws. To make this cupcake tier, these items can be purchased at Dollar Tree!   Click here for the steps.

2. So studious, very college.

Gathering your school supplies together in one spot, can help you find what you need in the time of cramming for last minute homework assignments or studying for an exam the next day. Try getting a cart to store your pencils, textbooks, and a few other essentials that you can reach for easily.

3. Fall Wall Decor

Sophistication yet simplicity is key. This is the perfect DIY to do during the season. Take a walk around campus, a local park, or Vander Veer, you should be able to find wooden sticks lying around. You can buy a box of nails and hammer them in. It’s a great accessory holder (or pictures if you’re not a big fan of accessories). The strings can be purchased at the dollar or craft store. Don’t forget, if you’re living in a dorm room, you can take a Command hook to hang these against the wall.

4. When the flowers blossom, the bee will come.

We all know that we don’t have time to keep flowers or plants alive while living the college life. Can we barely keep ourselves alive? Fall is nothing but the rustic aesthetic.
