The leaves are changing color, the days are getting shorter and the stress levels are rising. The time of year where grades are slipping and exams are coming quicker. Even with all the deadlines and long checklists to finish, 24 hours isn’t enough. But don’t forget to take sometime to yourself and RELAX. Here are 5 things to do while taking a break away from your priorities.

1. Paint away the pain

Grab a canvas and pull out the paint brushes, maybe invite some girl friends and bring out the wine. Painting or coloring is a great way to relax and focus on something else for once. Also, you’ll have something new to hang on your wall or a cute homemade gift.

2. Namaste away from my homework

Yoga is such a peaceful activity, play some calming music and practice your favorite animal poses. This will allow you to clear your mind and let you focus on yourself. Looks easy, right?

3. Run away from priorities

Step away from your desk and head to gym or take a walk outside. Work off those late night snacks that you’ve been stress eating while writing a paper you procrastinated. Pick your favorite playlist and go get it girl.

4. Bake away the struggles

This one completely cancels out number 3 but who doesn’t love some baked goods? Find your favorite recipe and bake your heart away. Share with family and friends to avoid eating all those goodies.

5. Rearrange your life

Change is good, do something different. Rearrange your room, clean out your desk, go to church or read a book for fun. Switch up your routine. You’ll feel like a new person and ready for success afterwards.
