Netflix has become one of the biggest movie, TV show, and entertainment providers of the industry. According to an article by Emma Daly in RadioTimes, over 44 million people are subscribed to Netflix. So long Blockbuster! However, Netflix is more than just a place to catch up on “House of Cards”, or “Breaking Bad”, it is the center of a Friday night. Nothing is more satisfying than watching an episode of “House Hunters”, or binge watching the first season of “Friends” after a long day of classes. Sometimes, it can even be too addicting, especially during mid-terms, when all you want to do is to finish “Sherlock” instead of cramming.
Since Netflix is so popular, I began to pose the following question, “what is really popular on Netflix amongst SF State students? What TV shows, documentaries, and movies do people really watch when they crash on the couch?” To answer this question I took a small survey of various students, and this is what I found out:
Carla Cobb, Nursing Major:
Movies: “Dysfunctional Friends”, “The Nightmare Before Christmas”.
TV Shows: “House”, “Scooby-Doo”.
Ben Tornai, Engineering Major:

Documentaries: “Korengal”, “Wildest Arctic”, “Print the Legend”.
Karina Bueno, Journalism Major:
Movies: “Breakfast at Tiffany’s”.
TV Shows: “Sherlock”, “Family Guy”, “American Horror Story”.
