Hometown: I grew up in Fremont, California, a small suburb about 45 minutes outside of San Francisco.
What clubs or organizations are you involved with? I’m currently a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista, a fashion site centered around college fashion and beauty trends.
Do you have any hobbies/ interests? Besides fashion, I love music and travelling! I love going to shows and travelling as much as I can and exploring new places.
How do you stay organized with school, work, events? My planner is basically my entire life. It’s rare that I ever have a day where I don’t have anything going on, so being able to write out everything that I need to accomplish that day or week helps me stay on track with work and school.
Who/ What inspires you? A lot of my inspiration comes from people that I look up to in the music and fashion industry. Like most people, I find success to be extremely inspiring. Rachel Zoe, Sophia Amoruso (founder of NastyGal), and Hayley Williams are some of my biggest inspirations. Basically, any successful, badass woman who is killin’ the game inspires me.
What do you like about San Francisco State? My favorite thing about going to SFSU is definitely the location. Although I spent most weekends in the city when I was growing up, actually being able to live in San Francisco is amazing.
What is something you are looking forward to after graduation? As crazy as it might sound, I’m most excited about working. I’m definitely looking forward to all the opportunities that I will (hopefully) have with gaining a more hands on experience in the fashion industry.
Do you have any advice for college students? My advice would be to enjoy this time as much as possible. Being a college student can definitely stressful at times, but I think it’s important to enjoy yourself and have fun without compromising the goals you have for yourself.
What is something that people don’t know about you? I love to bake! I’m not a super skilled cook, but I can probably bake anything you ask me to. When I was 13, I wanted to open up my own cupcake shop.
