This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at San Francisco chapter.

Camille Cobbs, a junior at San Francisco State, understands that in order to get what you want, you need to be willing to work hard. She is a full time student, an intern and a member of the Phi Sigma Sigma sorority. With a major in English and a minor in Journalism, Camille is focused on her career and shows it through her extracurricular activities.

Tell me more about your internship at ‘The Hunt.’ How did you find out about the internship? What are your responsibilities?

The Hunt is an amazing new app! Whenever you see something on Pinterest, Tumblr, or anywhere online that you want to buy but have no idea where to look, you can take a photo of that item, post it on The Hunt, and the community will help you find it. I am so happy that I get to work with a company that is fashion forward and so much fun! I found the internship online; I just sat down one day and applied for tons of internships using several websites like internships.com and internqueen.com, and to my surprise, the Hunt called me in for an interview. I help with community management, marketing, and PR for the company.

What inspired you to choose your major?

Writing has always been what I am good at and what I enjoy, so it seemed like the best fit. It is also a flexible major that could lead to a large variety of career fields, so I will have many options when I graduate.

What are your plans for the future?

I hope to work as an editor for a fashion magazine, for a publishing company, or doing marketing and PR for a company.

Do you have any other extracurricular activities?

I am the Multicultural, Diversity and Arts Chair of Phi Sigma Sigma sorority here on campus. Between our many philanthropic, scholarly, and social events, there is really only time for this one extracurricular activity when balancing school, work, and the internship as well.

What advice would you give to students who are struggling with trying to balance their responsibilities with their social life?

You have to find a way to prioritize. Sometimes you have to give up the fun stuff to do the boring stuff. I usually designate certain days of the week to school and work and others to the fun stuff
