This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at San Francisco chapter.

1. Get a Summer Job

It is always a good idea to add more experience to your resume! Having a summer job or internship does more than fill up your time, it can also put you ahead. You can gain more knowledge about your desired major and be ahead of your classmates when you get back!

2. Try new food

Go out and try new food! Ever had Burmese? What about Korean? Grab a friend and try it!

 3. Explore your city

Go out and find a new mural or cool look out. Pick a place and park then walk from there! You’ll never know what you’ll find!

If you are in the Bay Area, be sure to check out:

                                                                                                                                     Lay around Ocean Beach.

4. Go to your local museum

Museums are always having new exhibits and normally run around $10. It’s never bad to learn a little bit while out of school too!

5. Go to the beach

Grab your closest girls and hit the beach! Soak up the sun and kick back and relax. Going to the beach is the most affordable staycation.
