After experiencing the sweet taste of freedom during Spring Break, it’s difficult (to say the least) to have to snap back into reality when school starts again. And this is, by far, one of the biggest struggles a college student faces. Loads of homework and upcoming finals? No thanks! Luckily, there are some easy ways to stay motivated for the rest of the semester, so you can get A’s in every class and have no worries for the rest of the summer!

One of the best ways to stay motivated during the second half of the second semester is to make goals for yourself! Goals are a great way to challenge yourself—and ultimately prove to yourself that you can do whatever you set your mind to. If you get an A on that chemistry test, ~treat yo’self~ to some celebratory Starbucks or frozen yogurt! Little rewards such as these will make you feel even better about the accomplishment you made, and it will make you want to strive to get even more A’s! Motivation also starts with a clear head. So, what better way to clear your head than to organize your space?! Having folders and binders will make you space look neat and even cute! If you know where everything is, that means searching for hours isn’t required, and work can be completed faster! And more accomplishments equal more rewards, duh!

Another way to make it through the rest of the semester is to stay positive! It’s so easy to want to procrastinate and not turn in assignments early, but don’t do it! Instead, think of the free time you’ll have after your work is finished. Having a steady routine will make you not think twice about studying, because it will become a habit! One of the keys to success is to think on the bright side. Otherwise, your work will pay the price. So, keep up the positive attitude, and you will see how quickly the semester flies!

When finals start to approach and you’re living in the library, sometimes all you want to do is eat a bag of or drink a large, sugary iced tea. But all this will do is make you feel sluggish and lazy! A major way to stay energized and finish the semester off on a good note is to take care of your body. Spend a little time each day exercising to get your mind off stressful classes, and keep healthy snacks like carrots and hummus in your room! Eating right will make you feel better and more productive. Trust me on this!

If you follow these ways to stay motivated post-spring break, it is 100% guaranteed that you will ace your finals and start summer off on the best note ever! Plus, you will look back on the semester and feel nothing but proud of yourself for all your hard work. Go get ‘em!
