Freshman Year vs Sophomore Year

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Rutgers chapter.

Not going to lie, there’s a bit of a difference from your first shining freshman year and sophomore year.

                                                                                                                                vs.

Beginning of the year:
Freshmen: Wow I need to get involved in everything!
Sophomore: Do I have time for this? Maybe I should take another class instead.

Football games:
Freshmen: SO MUCH RUTGERS PRIDE
Sophomore: I’ll just catch the next game, gotta study for midterms.

Food:
Freshmen: Will someone come to the dining hall and eat with me?
Sophomore: *Debates in head if it is worth it to leave the building to eat or should just eat ramen*

Night-time fun:
Freshmen: Let’s have some fun tonight with all our friends and go out!
Sophomore: Oh my plans for tonight include wrapping myself up in blankets and avoiding responsibilities.

Finals:
Freshmen: *generic panic about exams*
Sophomore: *panic, lots of caffeine, and hours spent locked away in a library or room*

End of the Year Thoughts:
Freshmen: Woohoo sophomore year here I come!! Watch out new freshies!
Sophomore: Someone please send help I’m not ready to be a junior yet oh jeez

Move-out time:
Freshmen: I’m gonna miss all of you!! Let’s make a time to hang this summer!!
Sophomore: See ya l8r in a few months bye I’m going home back to my loyal bed.
