Michelle Wolff

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Rowan chapter.

Meet this week’s Campus Cutie, Michelle Wolff! She is a trasnfer student from Central Jersey, a family and friend-oriented girl, and a Communication Major!

What made you choose Rowan?

I chose Rowan for a few reasons. One reason is because I know they have a good communications program and since that is my major, I was really excited to go there. I also chose Rowan because I have visited my friends a lot who also go here and really liked the vibe. I am a Junior transfer student, so the first two years of college I would always visit my friends. Everyone was so friendly and it really made me want to transfer to Rowan.

What do you like most about the school?

I really like the Communication Studies department. I joined the Communications Studies Club and everyone is so friendly and helpful. They have given me advice on which classes to take and it really helped me feel more comfortable with this new experience. I also really love my classes and my professors are very nice. I was nervous that my classes would be difficult, but my professors are very helpful which made my classes a lot more fun.

What are your interests?

Being interested in communications, I really like radio and TV. I also find party planning and communications in the corporate world to be interesting as well. I am also interested in the music business, and overall the entertainment business to me is very exciting. Since I love music, as a kid I took up playing the violin as well as being involved in dance, acting and singing, so overall the arts interests me a lot.

Where do you see yourself living someday?

This is a tough question because I am not really sure where I could end up living. Depending on my job, I could live in my hometown as well as Princeton, New York City, or even California. If I am looking far into the future, I could see myself living in Florida when I retire. It really depends on where my life takes me; I could easily end up living in the same place for the rest of my life and still be happy with that.

Do you have any hidden talents?

I do not think I have really any hidden talents. As I said before, I have played the violin, been involved in dance, singing and acting; but most people who know me know that I was involved in those things. I guess my hidden talent could be tap. I was an advanced tap dancer as a kid, but not many of my friends know that.

Where can we find you on a Friday night?

At school, you can find me watching TV in my apartment or hanging out at a friends house. It really depends on what’s going on that night. I am very content with just doing nothing on a Friday night; but if there is a party going on, I am always open to go there too. When I am back home, sometimes I might be working on a Friday night or sometimes I’ll hangout with my parents or friends or my guy.

Do you consider yourself an introvert or extrovert? Why?

I would consider myself in between an introvert and an extrovert. There are many times where I can be an introvert because I like to be alone sometimes. I consider myself to be very independent, and maybe that has to do with being an only child because I am used to doing things on my own. I also consider myself to be an extrovert because I love to be around people as well. I think I am pretty out going, and I am not afraid to start up a conversation with someone I barely know. I love meeting knew people and love hanging out with my family and friends.
I am a Writing Arts major at Rowan University. Poetry is my best friend. One day, I hope to be a successful writer for a popular magazine in NYC. My dream is to travel to Paris, London, and Rome to explore and write about my experiences there.
