Evan EdingerBy September 24, 2012 - 8:26pm Youtube sensation, Evan Edinger has created youtube videos for about 6 years and is up to over 7,000 subscribers. Two of those years, he has heavily involved himself with the Youtube community, making friends on a national and international level. Edinger, had been influenced by watching his idol; Charlie McDonnel. He has already traveled to Los Angels, NYC, and Orlando for Youtube gatherings. George ClarkBy November 13, 2011 - 3:53pm This week's Campus Celeb is George Clark, journalism adjunct professor and adviser for Rowan's independent student-run newspaper, The Whit. Clark was asked by the journalism department to serve as the adviser for the publication in 2005. Since then, he has enjoyed being able to work with young journalists early in their careers and provide a source of guidance. According to Clark, he will always encourage his students to strive for more. “I love it, it's more fun than anything else, it gets me to help guide the students, without pushing them,” said Clark. Rowan Alumna's Second Novel Set To Hit ShelvesBy November 2, 2011 - 12:09am The release of alum Ellen Parry Lewis’ second novel will have readers on the edge of their seats in its medieval period romance and despair. She earned her degree from Rowan as a summa cum laude graduate in 2009, and was valedictorian of her high school class. When she is not too busy writing or snuggled up with a book, she can be found enjoying the outdoors with her two Dachshunds, PB and Jay, or playing the piano. Major: Journalism; concentration in Print Journalism. Hometown: Williamston, NJ Q: What can you say about your accomplishments? Student and Zumba Instructor Has Her Sights Set on BroadwayBy October 25, 2011 - 12:00am Get ready to put on your dancing shoes because it's Zumba time with Erin O’Malley on Wednesday nights. When the junior education major is not busy dancing with her classes as well as on the Rowan dance team, she devotes much of her time to being a current events reporter for the Rowan Television Network. O’Malley is a member of Kappa Delta Pi, an international honor society for education majors which requires its members to have a minumum GPA of 3.5. These Three Guys Started Their Own Clothing Line At RowanBy October 16, 2011 - 5:04pm Bomba Dulce founders, Andy Charles, James Parker and Twesh Chowdhury have caused plenty of commotion on Rowan’s campus with their explosive new clothing line. The translation of Bomba Dulce is “Sweet Bomb,” and is the result of a spontaneous trip to the local art stores during winter break of 2010. These three men share not only a ton creativity and drive to launch Bomba Dulce successfully, but also a determination to be their own bosses. Bomba Dulce was part of the previous semester’s fashion show and contributed funds toward Japan relief efforts.
