Brittany Stapleton

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Rowan chapter.

Name: Brittany Stapleton

Year: Junior, Class of 2017

Major: HPWM (Health Promotions & Fitness Management)

Hometown: Williamstown, N.J.

This week’s Campus Cutie is near and dear to my heart; she has been my best friend for almost 8 years now.

Brittany is a 20-year-old Rowan University student who just recently transferred from Rowan College of Gloucester County. She currently works two jobs: as a waitress at a local restaurant and as a Blackboard Administrative Assistant on campus.

Brittany describes herself as a funny individual who is also intelligent and hardworking. I can confirm that all of these statements are 100% accurate.

In her free time, you’ll most likely find Brittany watching Disney movies (especially Tangled), Pretty Little Liars, or The Office. She also enjoys playing Donkey Kong on her Super Nintendo, working out at the gym, and shopping (mostly Target and Charming Charlie’s).

Brittany is extremely passionate about health and fitness as well as music. One of her role models and inspirations is country-singer-turned-pop, Taylor Swift. Brittany had the opportunity of attending Swift’s 1989 Tour in Philadelphia this summer. Along with Taylor, another inspiration for Brittany is her mom.

By the end of this calendar year, Brittany hopes to improve her health by working out more frequently and making healthier food choices. She also plans to spend more time with her dogs, Chase and Miller, and travel/adventure more.

In 5-years-time, Brittany sees herself “hopefully having a full-time job with my degree and saving to buy my own house.”

This holiday season, Brittany is planning to celebrate by attending a Secret Santa/Ugly Sweater party with her best friends. After Christmas, Brittany, her mom, and her sister (Rowan graduate, class 2015) will be enjoying a girls-only vacation in Las Vegas.

For underclassman and future incoming Rowan students, Brittany stresses that you work hard and dedicate yourself in every class you take. She also suggests taking 8 am classes to ensure you are able to find a parking space on campus, a struggle most of us experience.

I am a Writing Arts major at Rowan University. Poetry is my best friend. One day, I hope to be a successful writer for a popular magazine in NYC. My dream is to travel to Paris, London, and Rome to explore and write about my experiences there.
