7 Ways to Have a Friendsgiving

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Rowan chapter.

After seeing the sitcom Friends, many have envied celebrating a Friendsgiving of their own. There are many Friendsgiving that one can celebrate; a Friendsgiving between childhood, highschool or college friends. Here are some simple and quick steps on hosting/or attending a Friendsgiving of your own!

1. The Host gets the turkey

It may sound like unfair rule (to the host) but if the celebration takes place in their home, then it is they who buys and cuts the turkey as any traditional head of household (HOH) would.

2. Each friend brings a different dish

Don’t let all the cooking to the HOH! Bring a dish (that no one else is bringing) to the table!

3. Volunteer to come early and help

This celebration is in honor of friends, so why not continue to be a helpful friend and lend a hand?

4. Be creative!

Don’t just bring in mashed potatoes that you bought from Wawa twenty-minutes beforehand (I am guilty of this!) Bring some excitement to the table.

5. Arrive with the food already cooked

Don’t expect to cluter the host’s kitchen with your mess! Cook it at home and bring it in.

6. Desserts

You can never have too many!

7. Enjoy the time with those closest to you!
