UR Ranked 32nd in U.S. News College Rankings

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Rochester chapter.

With the publication of the U.S. News College Rankings this week, our own University of Rochester has moved up in the National University category of rankings to 32nd. This is one notch higher than last year’s rankings.  This year, Princeton topped the charts of over 280 universities in the United States.  Over 1,800 schools get evaluated on over a dozen different criteria and are ranked accordingly.  Placing higher than last year, Rochester is embodying ‘Meliora’ in more ways than one, including the increasing freshman class sizes and the building of College Town, to be finished in fall 2014.  UR began the fall 2013 semester with 5,512 full-time undergraduates and over 3,000 graduate students.  The expanding campus/student body, and improved national rankings are bound to make the school ‘ever better’!
