Santiago and LeonardoBy April 22, 2012 - 11:22pm This week we’re meeting the other pair running for Student Government president and vice president. Victor Santiago and Mark Leonardo are currently not a part of Student Government but are involved extensively with other campus clubs, organizations and events. Running for the presidential seat, Santiago is a fourth year, Graphic Design major. What made you get into Student Government in general? At RIT? I was part of the Student Government in high school. But what really got me interested in Student Government is the idea that I can do more for the RIT student, than just being an OA, RA, etc. At RIT especially, because I love this school and want what is best for the students. Current president and vice president, Greg Pollock and Phil Amsler are both graduating leaving the competition up to fresh faces. Two teams have stepped up to run. Susan B. AnthonyBy March 18, 2012 - 11:40pm Another need-to know pillar of women’s history in Rochester is Susan B. Anthony. Celebrity seems a silly word to attach to her name- not grand enough or nearly worthy of her accomplishments. However, she is more than deserving of the title and more. She entirely rewrote how women in not only Rochester, but the country, even the world would live their lives. She helped win women the right to not only vote but to live, dream and accomplish things that before her, men had only been deemed capable of. Nikko SchaffBy January 29, 2012 - 8:45pm Nikko Schaff, working through his second year at RIT is easily classified as a campus celebrity. In his first year here, he created an app that is actually available on the Apple app market. He's currently working on a company in his second year. Brendan NagleBy January 15, 2012 - 7:48pm RIT alumni Brendan Nagle is undoubtedly a Campus Celebrity. Graduating from RIT with a film major, Brendan went on to complete graduate school at Syracuse University and is back in Rochester currently working a feature film called “The Essentials” that is set to premiere downtown around February/March!
