Everything You Need to Know about the 2017 Back to School Survival Kit

This is a sponsored feature. All opinions are 100% from Her Campus.

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Richmond chapter.

That time of year is finally here! We’re so excited to have received our best Back to School Survival Kit yet, and here’s everything you need to know about all the awesome products included in them that you need to try :

  1. Freeman Face masks will change your skin for the better

As someone who has combination skin: oily in some areas, dry in others, and sensitive all over, I was really glad to add Freeman facemasks into my skincare routine last summer. The masks do a great job of exfoliating and deeply cleansing the skin, but are gentle enough to not cause future breakouts. This is definitely one of my favorite products from the survival kit this semester, and if you’ve been struggling with acne, I highly suggest adding a Freeman mask into your beauty routine!

2. Spindrift sparkling water is a great healthy alternative to soda

If you can relate to the skincare issues in point number one, then you probably also know that cutting out soda is a good way to promote healthy skin and prevent breakouts. With that being said, if you find that you’re having a hard time cutting soda out completely I highly suggest that you try a Spindrift drink. They are sparkling water flavored with real..that’s right, real fruit and no added sweeteners. Spindrift drinks are a really healthy way to have something good without it being unhealthy or loaded with caffeine and sugar.

3. Aeropostale accessories are still cute

Our favorite brand from middle school is back with new accessories perfect for collegiettes. Whether you’re looking for a classy leather feel wallet, some headbands to dress up your ponytail and messy bun when you are too tired to do your hair for class, or sunglasses to protect your eyes as you walk across campus every day, Aero has you covered!

4. Bed Head hair products are a lifesaver

We’re approaching the point in the semester where we may need to skip wash day or have to maintain one style for a few days because we’re just too busy with our school work to worry about doing our hair every day. But Bed Head has us covered! Between the hairspray to help us stretch styles for a few days and dry shampoo to keep our air looking fresh when we have to skip wash day, a busy week won’t stop us from having our hair slayed!

5. If you still don’t have a planner…

Get one! Staying organized and keeping track of your assignments is super important and will make your life a whole lot easier. If you don’t already have a planner, the Erin Condren planner is not only cute, but also really helpful in organizing your weekly and monthly schedules.

6. Hi-chew candy is called hi-chew for a reason

This super chewy fruity candy is the perfect snack for when you’re craving candy! My friends and I haven’t been able to stop eating them since our Back to School Survival Kit arrived!

7. L’Oreal can keep you looking tan even as it gets cold out

Being able to self-tan in the wintertime? Who wouldn’t want to stay glowing year-round? Use the L’Oreal Paris Sublime Bronze ProPerfect Mist to give yourself a quick and easy tan from the comfort of your own home/dorm!

8.Steripods are a must have for keeping your toothbrush clean

Let’s face it: hall bathrooms are kind of gross and you need to have some covering over your toothbrush as you’re transporting it every day between your room and the bathroom. The Steripod is small but can keep your toothbrush clean for up to three months!
