Just like you are cramming for exams right now, designer Brittany Lauren remembers studying late nights at Ramapo trying to make her dreams a success. Now with her very own desiging company in Bergen County, Brittany tells all about her favorite Ramapo experience and how our school has shaped her career today!
When did you attend Ramapo College?
“I started Rampo College in Fall of 2005!”
What was your major at Ramapo?
“Declared my major, Design and Interactive Media, my junior year. I dived immediately into design the last two years at Ramapo. I don’t think I got a lot of sleep during that time!”
Favorite Ramapo Experience?
“I really enjoyed everything about Ramapo, the faculty/students and the classes. I loved how everyone engaged with each other, and it really did feel like one big family in my classes.”
Favorite Dining Hall Meal?
“ I actually didn’t do a lot of eating in the Dining Hall since I was a commuter and many of my classes where from 6-10 at night.”
Best Part of Ramapo?
“How supportive the Faculty was at Ramapo. They really provided me with a lot resources and positive experiences that helped shape my career and self. I also enjoyed the design and interactive media concentration event at the end of the year that showcased student’s work. It was fun seeing what everyone created that year.”
“Also I can’t forget to mention, how beautiful the campus is! It’s gorgeous each new season and I didn’t mind the long walk from the commuters parking lot so much!”
How has Ramapo shaped you today?
“Having some awesome, professors who also owned their own business really motivated and inspired me to do the same. They really gave me some amazing advice that encouraged me to find my own path.”
