26 Struggles Only Bobcats Understand

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Quinnipiac chapter.

Sometimes being a Bobcat isn’t easy.  While there are plenty of great things about Quinnipiac, these all-too-familiar struggles are almost guaranteed to put a damper on your day:

1.  When you’re in a rush at the cafe but only Java John’s register is open

2.  Trying to get tickets to the Yale game

3.  BobcatNet

4.  The Toad’s shuttles

5.  Taking the shuttles in general

6.  Or stalking people for their parking spots in North Lot and Hogan

7.  Finding a seat in the library during finals week

8.  Explaining to your relatives that there is more to QU than polls and hockey

9.  Passive-aggressive emails from Public Safety

10.  Automatically being labeled a “slobcat” if you go out

11.  The walk to CAS

12.  The walk to Echlin

13.  The walk to the old law school

14.  QU 101, 201 and 301 (unless you get to study abroad)

15.  Deciding whether to live on York or off-campus

16.  Waiting in the Au Bon Pain line

17.  Waiting in the post office line

18.  Not wanting to hike the Giant, but wanting to Instagram it

19.  Finding a new angle for your picture of the library clock tower

20.  The food in the cafe (especially on weekends)

21.  When the Ratt only has oatmeal raisin cookies instead of chocolate chip

22.  The heat of the dorm rooms in August (unless you live in Hill or Eastview)

23.  Deciding which pair of yoga pants to wear today

24.  Restraining yourself from buying yet another quarter-zip at the bookstore

25.  Choosing where to study abroad (so many options!)

26.  Actually having to leave QU when you graduate

Okay, we admit it—all of these are #firstworldproblems.  They can create a daily struggle, but let’s be honest…we’re so fortunate to be where we are.  Enjoy it while you can, Bobcats!
