Bras That Fit! Inspired looks from Victoria Secret

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Purdue chapter.

Let’s face it ladies, there is nothing better than a bra that fits. The problem is most women are usually wearing the wrong size and not getting the support and comfort they deserve. As a former employee of Victoria’s Secret, I’m extremely familiar with fitting women and finding the right bra for all body types. A common misconception is that a bra can’t be pretty and fit. Wrong! Let’s start with some steps to getting the right bra, and a pretty one that is best for you! It’s the holidays and it’s a great time to look and feel your best (wink, wink!).

1. Go into Victoria’s Secret and get fitted
You should get fitted every 6 months because your body changes. Trust the person that’s measuring. They can truly find you a great bra!

2. Explain what you are looking for in your bra

After being fitted, let her know what you are looking for in a bra. They are experts on the bras they sell and have worked with many women. There are bras without wire, some with padding, and some that can add 2-cup sizes! It’s all about what you’relooking for!

3. Go to the fitting room and take her suggestions
We have all heard the saying, ‘you don’t know until you try it on’, and it’s so true! Every bra fits differently and usually women leave the store with a bra they love!

Moving on to some of my favorite bras and some features from the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show!

1. ‘Body by Victoria’ $42-52
(My personal favorite!) Looking for luxurious comfort, but something smoothing and versatile for everyday? Victoria’s Secrets Body by Victoria is a perfect line to start with.  These bras all provide coverage but you have an option with padding, lace, and even demi lining.

2. ‘Very Sexy’ Collection $42-$75
If you are looking for a flattering push-up, this is your bra. Its smooth lines, and phenomenal lift are great for a deep cut v-neck or holiday dress! This red with black lace print is just absolutely beautiful. Then again, so is Adriana, the model wearing it.

3. ‘Gorgeous’ Collection $49.50
Looking for a push up that can be worn 5 different ways? This is your bra! I promise you will use this bra non-stop. I know how many clothes I have that I think “But what type of bra can I wear?”…Simple! ‘The Gorgeous!’

Well there you have it ladies! These are a few of my favorite lines. You must stop in soon to see all the beautiful holiday items they are carrying!

Happy shopping!
