Oh dear old THON,
I love you so,
You make me smile,
You make me glow,
And with 46 hours we will all stand tall,
But we’ll have our DR CMs there for us when we want to fall.
The colors we have are ever white and blue,
And the love we have for you is very true.
To get us ready, there’s things I need to say,
To prepare us for this very special day.
Gatorade, water, and electrolytes too,
There is so much for us to do!
The giant Jenga, the words with friends,
The good times of THON, they never end.
The good times rock, they go and they roll,
We will play trivia crack, and in the hours that lull,
We stand and remember why we’re here and embrace it, in full.
There are games, there’s the RIDE that get us excited,
And when the families come out, our souls get ignited.
The dancing continues as the hours go on,
And then we freak out when we hear our favorite song.
Through the tears, the moves, and the beats,
I am very happy to be standing on my feet.
I do this for those who cannot,
For those who are here and those who have fought,
Because 46 hours is nothing compared to,
Our little dreamers, because that’s what we’re here to do.
