HC: What are you involved with at Penn state?
JC: Penn State Performing Arts Council, Penn State Thespians, Springfield FTK.
HC: Which club has been the most fulfilling?
JC: The Performing Arts Council by far – starting an organization and watching it flourish through the work of other smarter and more passionate individuals has been such an incredible opportunity.
HC: If you could relive one day during your college experience, which day would it be?
JC: The four-overtime Michigan Homecoming gameday. The game itself was incredible, and the people I got to know afterwards changed everything about my time here at Penn State.
HC: What was it like to be on the Homecoming court?
JC: Humbling. It was an incredible honor to get the chance to spend a week with some of this university’s greatest student leaders.
HC: What was your favorite part of Homecoming?
JC: Meeting Keegan-Michael Key.
HC: What is your favorite place to take a girl out on a date?
JC: My top two date locations in Happy Valley are one – watching the sunrise over Mt. Nittany from the top of the Nittany Parking Deck and then having brunch at The Naked Egg, and two – watching the sunset over campus from Mt. Nittany and going to dinner somewhere that serves good wine.
HC: Can you describe your ideal date night?
JC: Sitting on the porch of my place in State College during the summer and eating a home-cooked meal with a good red wine while listening to Sinatra, Dean Martin and Tony Bennett.
HC: It’s your first date with a girl. What movie are you going to watch?
JC: Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.
HC: What is the greatest quality a girl can have?
JC: Ambition.
HC: What do you miss most about home?
JC: Hanging out with my brothers. Whether it’s binge watching Top Gear on Netflix or playing hockey in the backyard – that was the best part of high school and is the best part of going home.
HC: What are your plans for after graduation?
JC: Heading to Philly and consulting for Accenture.
HC: What’s your dream job?
JC: The best feeling in the world is knowing you’ve affected a life by giving them access to a life-changing performance. That’s why I would love to produce Broadway-quality theater at a cheap and affordable community theater level all across America.
HC: What’s your favorite downtown bar and drink?
JC: I love a good gin and tonic at whichever bar my friends are currently inhabiting.
HC: Do you prefer cats or dogs?
JC: Dogs.
HC: If there was a musical made about your life, what would the title be?
JC: “Funny Thing Happened” on the “Way to Forum Building.”
HC: Who would play the role of you?
JC: Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
HC: What is the greatest thing about Penn State to you?
JC: The people.
