Year: Senior

Major: Chemical Engineering

Hometown: Oakmont, PA

Relationship Status: Single

HC: What are you involved with at Penn state?

JC: Penn State Performing Arts Council, Penn State Thespians, Springfield FTK.

HC: Which club has been the most fulfilling?

JC: The Performing Arts Council by far – starting an organization and watching it flourish through the work of other smarter and more passionate individuals has been such an incredible opportunity.

HC: If you could relive one day during your college experience, which day would it be?

JC: The four-overtime Michigan Homecoming gameday. The game itself was incredible, and the people I got to know afterwards changed everything about my time here at Penn State.

HC: What was it like to be on the Homecoming court?

JC: Humbling. It was an incredible honor to get the chance to spend a week with some of this university’s greatest student leaders.

HC: What was your favorite part of Homecoming?

JC: Meeting Keegan-Michael Key.

HC: What is your favorite place to take a girl out on a date?

JC: My top two date locations in Happy Valley are one – watching the sunrise over Mt. Nittany from the top of the Nittany Parking Deck and then having brunch at The Naked Egg, and two – watching the sunset over campus from Mt. Nittany and going to dinner somewhere that serves good wine.

HC: Can you describe your ideal date night?

JC: Sitting on the porch of my place in State College during the summer and eating a home-cooked meal with a good red wine while listening to Sinatra, Dean Martin and Tony Bennett.

HC: It’s your first date with a girl. What movie are you going to watch?

JC: Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.

HC: What is the greatest quality a girl can have?

JC: Ambition.

HC: What do you miss most about home?

JC: Hanging out with my brothers. Whether it’s binge watching Top Gear on Netflix or playing hockey in the backyard – that was the best part of high school and is the best part of going home.

HC: What are your plans for after graduation?

JC: Heading to Philly and consulting for Accenture.

HC: What’s your dream job?

JC: The best feeling in the world is knowing you’ve affected a life by giving them access to a life-changing performance. That’s why I would love to produce Broadway-quality theater at a cheap and affordable community theater level all across America.

HC: What’s your favorite downtown bar and drink?

JC: I love a good gin and tonic at whichever bar my friends are currently inhabiting.

HC: Do you prefer cats or dogs?

JC: Dogs.

HC: If there was a musical made about your life, what would the title be?

JC: “Funny Thing Happened” on the “Way to Forum Building.”

HC: Who would play the role of you?

JC: Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

HC: What is the greatest thing about Penn State to you?

JC: The people.
