HC: What’s your favorite part about being a THON director for Rules & Regulations?

JS: My favorite part about being a director for R&R is the impact I’ve been able to have on THON. This organization has formed my college experience and being able to give back to it has been incredible.

HC: What inspired you to become a R&R committee director?

JS: My experience last year with my committee. Being able to inspire all of my committee members was so fulfilling. Since THON gave me that, I wanted to give back as much as I could, and I thought the Volunteer Safety Director was the best chance for me to do that.

HC: What’s your favorite committee event and why?

JS: My favorite R&R committee event is Regulator Wars. It’s the last event we have, and it can get pretty intense. All of the committees compete in different events and get points depending on their performance. I think it’s the best chance for committees to become more like families leading into THON Weekend, which is so important.

HC: What does FTK mean to you?

JS: To me, FTK means always remembering who we represent and raise money for. It means going above and beyond for this organization because we are all doing it to help the lives of families.

HC: What’s your favorite THON memory?

JS: My favorite THON memory happened right after the total reveal of THON 2015. I knew how much time and effort my captains dedicated to THON this year. When I saw them, I was filled with so much pride over the amazing job they did.

HC: What’s your dream date?

JS: My dream date is doing nothing. I want to sit on a couch and watch Netflix for hours.

HC: What qualities do you look for in a girl?

JS: The biggest thing I look for is someone who is a good person. Over anything else, I want to know the person I am with will do some good in the world.

HC: What’s your favorite thing to do in State College?

JS: My favorite thing to do in State College is going on walks. Our campus, and the entire surrounding area, is beautiful.

HC: What’s the cheesiest pickup line you’ve ever heard?

JS: No one has ever used a pickup line on me. I wish they would, that’d be great. The worst one I’ve ever heard being used on someone else involved the state Tennessee…
