Organized by innoblue, HackPSU is Penn State's first 24-hour hackathon located in the IST Building and will be held in conjunction with IST Startup Week. What's a hackathon? Students will get 24 hours to build a website, mobile app or piece of hardware technology, essentially creating a prototype of a product to then demo to a panel of judges. The first place team will receive an all expense paid trip to Silicon Valley, Calif. The winners will tour the hottest startup companies in California, while meeting with investors. Second place winners receive $1,000 and $500 for third place. For more information, you can visit their website here.  READ MORE

By Rachel Lytle

March 19, 2013 - 7:00pm
Women's rights activist Sandra Fluke will be speaking on campus this Tuesday, March 19 at 7 p.m. in Berg Auditoriu, located in the Life Sciences building. Fluke is most known for her testimony to the House last year promoting health care coverage of oral contraception for women, when radio host Rush Limbaugh insulted her on air called her a "slut" and a "prostitute", causing controversy. Of course, Jon Stewart can best describe the situation.   Don't worry, we have your back Sandra. See everyone there! Photo Credit...
