Year: Senior

Major: Materials Science and Engineering

Hometown: Macungie, PA

Relationship Status: In a Relationship

HC: So you’re a senior this year, what’s one thing you’re going to miss about Penn State?

CC: The sense of community and belonging to this mass of amazing people all nestled in State College. It’s that sense that you are connected. When you start your career it’s from scratch; that togetherness isn’t immediately present in your life.

HC: What are two things you look for in a girl?

CC: Open-mindedness and passion. The ability to go out of your comfort zone in any area of life shows a type of character that appeals to me. Showing that you have fervor towards an aspect of your life or a goal is also important to me.

HC: What are two things you don’t look for in a girl?

CC: Close-mindedness and a short fuse. The ability to not always let your anger get the best of you is rare and undervalued.

HC: What’s your idea of the perfect date?

CC: A dinner made together and a trip on a warm summer night to an area with no light pollution and a blanket…talking under the stars.

HC: What’s your favorite Berkey Creamery flavor?

CC: Classic chocolate. I’ll admit I haven’t tried many flavors, but I always bring some home.

HC: In ten years, where do you see yourself?

CC: Ideally, I’d be firmly set in a viable career path and settled down in a nice area with a spouse and a kid or two.

HC: Best place to get breakfast: State College Diner or The Waffle Shop?

CC: State College Diner, hands down. There’s never a massive line when it’s 10 degrees out, and I haven’t noticed any difference in quality between the two. It’s also cheaper and the service is faster.
