We know Kettle brand for their delicious (and healthy) snacks, but did you know they also really care about the community? Their Hey Neighbor campaign is all about building the “Kettle spirit” to create connections between friends and neighbors. Cool, right?

Kettle sent us some AWESOME kits to start creating connections right here on campus! 

Want to spread community on your own? Here are a few tips to get you started:

IN THE DORMS

  • Institute an open door policy
  • SMILE
  • Look for opportunities to help your floor mates out (open doors, hold the elevator)

OFF CAMPUS

  • Host community dinners
  • Take a moment to say HI to people you pass by
  • Introduce yourself!

Hanna attends the University of Portland and is studying Marketing with a minor in Communication Studies. Getting lost, adventuring in the Pearl on a cloudy afternoon and eventually ending up in a local coffee shop are some of Hanna’s greatest pleasures in life. Hanna hopes to pursue a career in public relations upon graduation and plans to adopt the “City of Roses” as her new home.
