5 Galentine’s Day Ideas You’ll LOVE

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Portland chapter.

Make Galentine’s Day even more special with these fun ideas!

1. Date night

Who says that date night has to be with a significant other? Gather your friends to get dolled up and dressed up for a night out! Dinner, dancing, dessert; the possibilities are endless!

2. Girls Night In

Junk food? Rom-coms? Wine? (for all those 21+ of course!) What could be better? You can’t go wrong with When Harry Met Sally, Dan in Real Life, or One Day. Paired with some red moscato (or sparkling cider) and pizza makes for a fun-filled night in!

3. Watercolor Night

Get in touch with your creative side with some water coloring. If you’re feeling really bold, add some calligraphy on top for an artistic masterpiece!

4. Treat-Yo-Self

Whether it’s homemade or store-bought, you can’t go wrong with a few face masks, mani-pedis, and body scrubs! Add some lemon water or green tea to help with digestion and complexion.

5. Mass

Coincidentally, Valentine’s Day also falls on Ash Wednesday in 2018! If you’re so inclined, mass can be a refreshing spiritual experience with the friends you love. Mass will be held at the Chapel of Christ the Teacher at 12:05 pm and 4:45 pm as well as evening services at 10:15 pm in Mehling, Kenna, and Schoenfeldt halls.

What’s your favorite Galentine’s Day tradition?
