4 Things To Warm Up Your Fall

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Portland chapter.

As the leaves start to change colors, so does the weather. For out-of-state-ers this may be a cool surprise.  As we approach the holiday season, most of us are looking forward to typical fall fads: Sweaters, hot drinks, and pumpkin flavored everything. Here’s what we have on our fall to-do list:

1. Hot Drinks

This is the time of year to stock up on your favorite hot drinks. Hot cocoa and hot apple cider are two of the fall favorites. The third is one that is exclusive to the fall season –pumpkin spice lattes. This “common white girl” drink is a must-try!

2. Soup

As we enter this season, we exchange shakes and smoothies for soups. Need your soup fix? The Anchor provides a variety of Campbell’s soups. Some people prefer a favorite family recipe. Sharing is caring, so don’t forget to share your delicious soups!

3. Baked Goodies

One of the best parts of fall are pumpkins! You can make a delicious pumpkin pie, bread, cookies. The possibilities are endless.

4. Cuddle Weather

As the leaves fall and the temperatures drop we start to enter the famous “cuddle weather.” We’ve got to do our best to stay warm (and avoid flu season) so snuggle up with your special someone on a rainy day!
