Meet Junior Sports, Arts, and Entertainment Management major Baylee Zimmerman! Baylee is currently President of the SAEM Club here on campus. Keep reading to learn more about Baylee and the SAEM Club!

HC: How did you hear about SAEM Club?
When I was a freshman I went to the organization fair. I wasn’t aware until I went that there was a club for my major. I made sure that I got signed up and I’ve been involved with it ever since.
HC: What positions have you held in SAEM Club?
Freshman year I was just a general member. Last year I was the club’s Treasurer and this year I’m president!
HC: What kind of events do you guys have planned for the year?
This year so far we have had a concert on campus, a Steelers Tailgate, and our upcoming event is going to be a showing of the movie Tommy on 10/18, which the Playhouse is also putting on. We plan to do a few more tailgates this school year, hopefully another concert or two, potentially a music listening party, and are currently perusing more ideas for our club’s events.
HC: How can someone get involved?
The best way to get involved is to attend our biweekly meetings on Tuesdays in JVH. If that time doesn’t work you can also be a part of our email list that the meeting notes get sent to. To join the mailing list email saemclub@gmail.com with your name and email!
HC: What else are you involved in on campus?
I am also in Music Association Club and I am part of Point Park Singers. Point Park Singers is our choir here on campus. Not too many people know about it, but I’ve been a part of it since freshman year.
HC: What is your dream job?
My dream job is to plan and coordinate events. I also have a passion for marketing. My ultimate goal would be to be working for Heinz Field at some point in the future.
HC: Fun fact about yourself?
My favorite animals are cats and I have 3 of them!
