Thoughts You Have Paying Attention To March Madness For The First Time

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Pitt chapter.

I recently got addicted to college basketball this year. I was first in line for every basketball game, front row and so much a regular that all the staff knew who I was. When my friend asked me to join a March Madness bracket group, I of course had to say yes. I did not know it would be this stressful! Here are my thoughts on having a bracket this March.

There are a lot more teams than I thought!

Sixty-eight teams and I must pick half of these to move onto the next round?

How do I choose?!

Guess I’ll go with my favorite uniforms…

This is exhausting.

*Spends two hours picking who advances to the second round, Sweet Sixteen, Elite Eight…*

The alliteration of this tournament is hilarious.

Sweet Sixteen, Elite Eight, Final Four…

What the heck is a seed?

Oh, you mean they aren’t just a flowering plant’s unit of reproduction, capable of developing into another such plant?!

A friend offering to help me out?

Bless your soul, you kind human being.

Finished! Finally!

Only took me a few hours and a skipped class.

LOL I’ll probably be last in my bracket.

Guess I’ll just watch the games for the fun of it.

*Realizes I’m first in my bracket*

ARE YOU KIDDING?! My teams need to win! I NEED TO WIN!

When my projected champions lose in the second round:

LOL. There goes my bracket. Time to chill.

When all my teams lose:

HA! Time to cheer for random teams

March Madness is still going on. Good luck to everyone!
