Brain Food: Snacks to Help You Get Through Finals

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Pitt chapter.

Finals week. When studying, stress and snacking are at an all time high. With nothing but academics on your mind, it’s easy to neglect proper nutrition. If you’re on a time crunch, quickly grabbing a bag of chips or a king size chocolate bar will just have to do. In fact, many believe these snacks may boost your energy levels for a long night of studying.

Unfortunately, snacking on unhealthy foods is very counterproductive and can actually hinder your productivity by making you feel lethargic (the notorious sugar crash), which may make it difficult to concentrate. Thankfully, there are many satisfying, high-energy foods that can boost your brainpower and increase your concentration to optimize your studying.
