Tricks to Balancing New and Old Friends

By Jennifer Shaheen
March 26, 2013 - 3:00pm

When you leave for college, you’re on your own for the first time and you’re thrown into a school with brand new faces where no one knows your name. You start fresh, meeting people with the same interests and majors. You live with these people and they see you at some of the highest and lowest moments in your life. But what about the friends you’ve known for years, the friends that you’ve gone through the awkward middle school stages with and shared the golden years of high school with? What happens to those friends when you’re at college making all new ones? The answer is to keep a balance between new college friends and old friends from home. ...

By Madelyn Kasula
March 26, 2013 - 10:00am

I have been in love with reading since I learned how to do it. I love the smell of books, the way they look on the shelf, and looking through an old book I have read multiple times. I know we are all busy college students, but sometimes we need to take the extra time to relax and read a great book. Here are some of the ones that have changed my life: Valley of the Dolls by Jacqueline Susann READ MORE

By Katie Piscopio
March 25, 2013 - 9:00pm

If you’ve listened to James Trinidad’s song “All Gold Everything” recently, you may have heard the popular line “Pop a molly, I’m sweating.”  You may have also heard about Madonna’s on-stage question for the crowd of a music festival that sparked controversy: “How many in this crowd have seen Molly tonight?”  In everyday life, some people might find this innocent; maybe she was just wondering where someone named Molly was- but to the typical “ravers” at a music festival, Molly is a whole nother world. 5 Lazy Ways to Become More Professional

By Danielle Fox
March 25, 2013 - 10:00am

Those are all logical reasons for wanting to know your partner’s number, but what does “the number” actually mean? READ MORE

How To: Rock Floral Pants and Bold Lipstick

By Kate Bilash
March 22, 2013 - 10:00am

Sitting in class the other day, I struck up a conversation with a girl about how much I liked her floral pants. Overhearing our conversation, another girl added, “Oh, I could never pull that off. That’s just not me.” I totally understood what she was saying. I see girls all the time and am envious of their attire, but am always cautious to try something similar. Is it because I don’t know how to wear that specific piece of clothing? Or am I just too nervous of what other people will think? Regardless, it’s time to throw any nervousness out of the window! This year, bold has taken a new turn and it’s definitely here to stay. No longer is it acceptable to stick with what’s ordinary. It’s time to think outside the box, stand out, and just like the clothing...
