I for one spend more time at the library making summer bucket lists and researching places I want to visit this break than I do studying. I think we can all agree we’re more focused on just getting past these last few weeks of school so we can finally be unrestricted and enjoy the summer. As a sophomore at the University of Pittsburgh I find myself pondering this question more often than I’d personally like to admit. Well there’s the obvious point: In hopes of attending a university you’ll eventually graduate with a degree in a field that will allow you to pursue a successful career. So basically, after spending thousands of dollars on tuition, hundreds of hours in the library, and countless periods of time stressing over information you’ll most likely never use, what do you actually end up with? At some point, it only seems to be a burden, or getting to be a hard thing to do, because we tend to get comfortable.
