I think we all can agree that taking a well-deserved break is all that is on our minds right now. We’re not far—we can finally see the light at the end of the spring semester tunnel.

Here’s a compilation of summer-themed playlists to celebrate and day-drink to. (You can find the collection here!)

1. “GETTING READY” by dahliaplaylistsWith a random assortment of artists ranging from Robyn to the Clash, this playlist will work in any situation—party, relaxation, going out-prep, etc. Everyone will find at least one song they enjoy, resulting in a happy party.

 

2. “summer come faster.” by linswin

Want more hip-hop? This playlist features artists like Flo Rida and Nelly Furtado. You will probably be able to sing along with some quintessential summer songs found in this seasonal collection.

 

3. “Let the DayDrinking Begin” by sh*tnickplays

James Madison University-themed account, sh*tnickplays, has created a perfect college-based day-drinking playlist. It contains more hip-hop and rap-style music with artists like Sam Adams and M.I.A.

 

4. “#DayDrinking” by rnewton

Want more country to celebrate summer? This playlist features classic-summer country music ranging from Rascal Flatts to Willie Nelson.

 

5. “starting summer daydrinking.” by casm68

Don’t want to listen to hip-hop or country while drinking? This playlist consists mainly of house and electronic music with artists like Kaskade and Martin Solveig.

 

6. “Friday Afternoon Drinking Club” by na8531

This playlist is more of a collaboration between hip-hop and electronic music. It features a variety of artists like Shwayze and Rihanna.

 

7. “Dirty Bar Stool” by jauntyalouette

This primarily rock and indie-focused playlist features artists ranging from The Black Keys to Radiohead. The playlist summary is creative: “Best served on the rocks in a place where nobody knows your name or cares about the blood on your hands.”
