7 Online Shopping Sites You Need in Your Life

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Pitt chapter.

Being a college student, money for shopping can often run short. Unfortunately, after paying for rent, food and any other expenditures that come up, most people can afford little more than dinner at Chipotle, if that. Luckily, there are online shopping websites with cute clothes you can actually afford, and in an effort to save you time and gas money. I’ve compiled a list of my favorites.

1. ASOS

A must to visit for any fashionista. ASOS’s clothing looks like it should be on a runway. Its secret is that it takes high end fashions and trends and recreates them at a much more affordable price. If you look around a little bit, you can definitely find the perfect piece for you for a steal!

2. Modcloth

Some of Modcloth’s clothing can be on the expensive side, but the majority of the pieces I’ve bought (and love) are not. It has a lot of alternative styles as well as some very chic pieces, and its clothing is really unique compared to what you see in the stores. Plus, it has a huge sale section as well as lots of cheap (and adorable) home furnishings, perfect for decorating your apartment.

3. Charlotte Russe

College girls are always in a rush, and Charlotte Russe fits the bill for cute, comfy and versatile. You can roll out of bed 15 minutes before class, throw on one of its tops and look completely put together. The clothes aren’t expensive at all, but they don’t look cheap either. It’s the perfect site to go to all year round whenever you’re looking to spice up your wardrobe.

4. Nasty Gal

If Cara Delevingne ever went online shopping, she’d go to Nasty Gal. Its clothing is a mix between grunge and edgy, with a little bit of chic. You can dress up or down with its clothes and wear the pieces for any occasion. The best part? You can look like you spent $1,000 on your outfit, without actually spending more than $40.

5. Boohoo

Boohoo has the types of clothes you can dress up or down. A.K.A. it’s OK to wear the same dress to your sorority event that you wore to class two days ago. It has a lot of neutral and versatile pieces as well, so it’s easy to mix and match them for different seasons and styles.

6. Zara

A lot of Zara’s stuff can be on the expensive side, but if you’re looking to find your new favorite piece you’ll wear for the next 20 years or more, it’s well worth it. We all feel the pinch when we want to buy something we know is on the expensive side, but its clothes save you lots of money in the long run and are always in style.

7. Tobi

Tobi has lots of casual and dressy clothes that are edgy but not over the top. Most of its styles are pretty neutral, but that just means you can wear them all the time. It always has good sales going on, so you’re pretty much guaranteed to find a great deal no matter when you go in.

Obviously, you can always go to H&M or American Eagle, but these sites all sell styles that are a little different from what’s out there and are perfect for collegiates.
