5 Curly Hair Products that Will Save You This Winter

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Pitt chapter.

Well it’s almost officially winter and curly girls everywhere are preparing for the worst—dried out, frizzy hair that hangs limp and tired around your face. Trust me when I say I know the struggle. To fight back against that unforgiving Pittsburgh winter, here are a few of my favorite products to keep my hair from morphing into a brittle, dried out pile of straw.

1. Coconut Oil.

This is definitely the least expensive option but it really works. If you are in desperate need of some moisture and on a budget, this is the product for you. Just mix some of this in with your conditioner or scrunch it in after your shower and you’re good to go.

 2. Devacurl Decadence One Condition

Now this one is a bit more of an investment but if you can swing it, your hair will thank you. My hair has been infinitely less dry since switching to this conditioner. Ten out of ten, would recommend.

3. SheaMoisture Intensive Hydration Masque

Hair masks are a great way to treat yourself and your hair. They are super moisturizing and leave your hair feeling revived.

 4. Miss Jessie’s Pillow Soft Curls

This product is amazing if you just need to contain some of that frizz after you jump out of the shower. Scrunch it into damp hair for some super soft curls. Bonus: it smells amazing.

5. Bb.Curl Pre-Style/Re-Style Primer

This is one of my miracle products. You can use it in a variety of different ways: before you style your hair; if it’s the third day without a wash and your hair just needs a little pick me up. This one is a on the pricier side, but you won’t regret the investment.
