What did I do? Mostly, I read. I read a lot. I set out to read 25 books between Memorial Day and Labor Day. I finished the Summer while reading Book 27.
How did I pick them? I read some books as they came out. I follow some Young Adult publishers and literary agents on Twitter so I knew what was coming out. There are some authors that I tried to finish off by reading all of their available novels. I didn’t manage to do that for anyone though. I also have a Goodreads account. There’s 109 books on my “to read” list, so I had a lot to work with.

Recommendations
I really like Kiera Cass and the Elite series. I also really liked The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry. Ally Carter, Cassandra Clare, Libba Bray, Gayle Forman, Meg Cabot, and Maureen Johnson also write great books. I just didn’t read anything by them that’s a clear favorite.
What’s next?
This semester, in addition to any other books I come up with, I think I’ll try to read myself out of Gayle Forman, Kate Brian, Kiera Cass, and E. Lockhart.
Happy Reading!
If you are interested in After Alice, I reviewed it.
