THE BASICS
1. My name is Jihad Basir.
2. I current standing in college is a junior.
3. I am currently majoring in Statistics with an Actuarial Science Option.
4. I was born and raised in Washington, D.C.
5. The clubs that I am in currently involved in, are High Fashion Club, Orientation Leaders, Ted X PSU Berks, and the Entrepreneurship Club.
ALL ABOUT THE CLUB
6. The name of the club that I participate in, is called High Fashion Club. The position I currently uphold is the Executive Board Member and the SGA Rep.
8. Our club’s mission is to instill confidence among people of different nationalities and backgrounds, through expressions of themselves.
9. If someone were to join our club, they should expect a loving, warm, family-like, environment where everyone looks to respect, construct, and respect each other’s ideas.
11. The top three reasons someone should join this club is the ability to meet and network with people from background, to be able to build or take their confidence to the next level, and if someone is looking for a club to fit into, high fashion club family will gladly take anyone in!
12. Our club will be hosting our next fashion show named “The Coldest Winter” on December 4, 2014 from 9-11pm in Perkins Student Auditorium.
13. I came to be apart of this club when Gemia Price whom is my bestfriend, introduced to me her vision to be able host a fashion show for Penn State. So being as outgoing, supportive, and adventurous as I am to great ideas, I couldn’t decline the idea to become apart of something that sounded as cool as it did.
14. My club’s greatest accomplishment was the ability to host and present our Spring Fever Fashion Show last semester. After practicing numerous of evenings and staying up with my fellow team members countless nights, to make sure our fashion show was perfected, the ability to see our vision prosper was surreal.

26. The meaning to life in my definition is to maximize every opportunity that life presents itself to each person. I always say, an optimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty. So when you’re able maximize the opportunity that is presented to you, you will be able to prosper and enjoy life to the fullest.
