5 Ways to Succeed This Semester!

Fall semester is now in the past! Now, it’s time to think about goals for the spring. Whatever didn’t go so well last semester, whether it was grades or participating in activities, can now be made up for the new year! Here are five tips to succeed socially and academically this semester:

  1. Plan ahead- Take a look at your syllabi for the semester mark down important dates! This is a great way to get ahead start on upcoming assignments for class.

  2. Get involved- Studies show that students who are involved in at least one club or organization succeed more in the classroom! So, head to club rush and find your niche!

  3. Get to know your professors- Professors enjoy when students show more interest in class by communicating with them in and out of the classroom. This is also a great way to possibly obtain a relationship in case you need some references for jobs or internships in the future!

  4. Attend as many campus events as possible- This is a way to network while also having fun. Go with some friends to a Crazy Bob or an LOL event instead of being cooped up in your room!

  5. Relax- Some down time is necessary! Take time for yourself to read a book, catch up on some shows, or take a nap. It’s best not to overwhelm yourself with school 24/7!
