I got a $100 haircut for $20

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Pace chapter.

Growing up with a hair stylist as a mom, I never had to pay for a haircut. But living 1,000 miles from home means that I had to eventually trust someone other than my Mom to cut my hair. As we all know, hair salons in the city are expensive as hell – this has always made me reluctant to go. Thankfully, I found Salon Apprentice through my roommate, a website where salons across the city post ads for various kinds of hair models. There are ads for haircuts, blowouts, coloring, and styling; all listed for free, or at a very cheap sitting fee. This is where I found an ad for a trim at Cutler Salon in SoHo (a bougie salon) for only $20 (originally $100). I immediately reached out to set up an appointment. Overall, I had a great experience. If you’re looking for a high-end salon experience without breaking the bank, I would definitely recommend checking out Salon Apprentice!
