As a seasoned foodie, I am always looking for new places to try. This weekend, my boyfriend and I decided to check out west~bourne, located on Sullivan Street and West Broadway in SoHo. With just about 25 seats, this LA-inspired all-day cafe is self-serve…a concept I’m not very familiar with in Manhattan. After struggling to find a seat for two, we quickly ordered with the cashier and picked out our own silverware, napkins, and glasses of water (on tap). We ordered two different sandwiches to share, and organic english breakfast and green tea. Instead of providing customers with sugar for their coffee or tea, west~bourne offers up their homemade simple syrup.

1. Mushreuben: Roasted maitake mushrooms, sauerkraut, peppadew peppers, swiss cheese, special sauce on toasted caraway rye bread.

2. Sunrise Kingdom: Scrambled eggs, avocado, shallot lebnah, pickled onions, hot sauce on a toasted english muffin.  Overall, I would rate west~bourne an 8/10 experience! The food was absolutely delicious but, the wait for a table and self-service was not my favorite. If you’re a vegetarian and looking for an Instagram opportunity and good food, definitely check this spot out. It was worth the wait.
